The homeowners loved their neighbourhood and wanted to stay. Their narrow home, however, needed to accommodate a growing family and a new way of living.

Y&CO undertook a comprehensive gut renovation, third-floor addition and garage rebuild, along with significant layout and structural work. A redesigned kitchen, five bathrooms, custom millwork and thoughtful storage make every floor work harder.

The primary suite was conceived as a quiet retreat, with arched openings, a freestanding tub, an expansive shower, heated floors and custom cabinetry. Throughout the home, the challenge was to create openness and ease within a slender Toronto footprint.

The result is a dramatically renewed home in a familiar place: more room for everyday life without leaving the community the family loves.
